www.something-fishy.org
This is my favorite site, full of information and a very supportive board. In terms of family and friends, this is definitely the best for those who don’t know much about EDs and are looking to understand the mindset better. Also has MANY links to other sites and resources. This site is also part of the reason I decided to use a starfish for this meme. :)
www.joyproject.org
This site is great for checking out some myths about EDs and also some signs that you should see a different doctor. Also one of my favorites, although as it uses numbers it can sometimes be triggering.
www.mirror-mirror.org/eatdis.htm
Another very thorough site with a lot of information. Check out the “myths and realities” page.

NEDA is an activism organization and, incidentally, the one behind Awareness Week. If you want to find ways to fight EDs in your community, this is a good place to go.
